Monthly Victorian Dance at Simi Valley featuring Quadrilles, Group Dances, and Waltzes inspired by the dances of the 19th Century. This dance is offered by the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District.

A remembrance of the air raid scare of 1942, featuring live music, military re-enactments, vintage military gear and more.
Viennese Waltz Night 2012 held this year at Samuelson Pavilion (aka "The Cooler"), on Occidental College campus in Northeast L.A. community of Eagle Rock. Cal Tech-Oxy Concert Band plays waltzes, polkas and more, also vintage dance demonstrations. Grand March promptly at 8:15pm. Free admission, but donations gratefully accepted. Singles or Couples welcome. Costumes, formal attire admired but not required (casual attire, sports shoes on the dance floor inappropriate). Wooden floor, indoors; suggest changing into ballroom dance shoes at the Pavilion.

Relive our state's dashing heritage at a California History Reenactors Workshop open to the public, Saturday March 3rd at Dominguez Rancho. Popular dances of mid & late 19th c. California in the forenoon; Potluck at noon break (bring accordingly), Reenactor Swapmeet (ditto); the afternoon's Special Guests speak on history, portrayal and clothing, topics of interest to military & civilian folks alike. Free admission, free parking; held inside the DRAM Carriage House; rain does not cancel. Sponsored by Soldados y Californios de So Cal; Yesteryears Dancers; and Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum.
