1. Bayonetta: Bloody Fate (Available on Netflix)
Bayonetta leaves the world of video games to star in an Anime movie. The angel-hunting witch awakens from a 500-year sleep and must fight to find out what happened. The film focuses on the first installments in the history of Sega and Nintendo. It is a perfect option if you are a fan of anime, SEGA and Nintendo. The most valuable thing about this movie is that it was directed by Fuminori Kizaki, director of AFRO Samurai and the fight sequences that respect the game’s canon.
2. Vampires vs. the Bronx (Available on Netflix)
A comedic horror film that focuses on the Bronx and young people who discover that vampires are plotting an attack on their neighborhood. Mr. Pickles is not a movie but a series but it is essential if you are a lover of horror and gore. A border collie who lives on a farm and is best friends with Tommy Goodman; he is also the embodiment of evil and master of hell. Tommy’s grandfather is the only one who has discovered the truth but there is always something that prevents them from believing him. It is undoubtedly one of the best animations for adults of the last ten years. The fact that this is an animation allows Mr. Pickles to be ultra violent, wrong and epic. It has grotesque scenes suitable only for lovers of macabre humor.
5. Cannibal Ear (Available on Amazon Prime Video)
“An experimental project of Canal+”. This is how this disturbing film that plays with “terror” through the camera and its image quality is presented. Every year, millions of metric tons of plastic waste end up in oceans, harming hundreds of species and their ecosystems. Most of this waste comes from land-based sources that leak into watersheds. Efforts to address this issue require better understanding of where people dispose of waste on land, but resources to detect and monitor such sites — both official sites and informal or illegal ones — are lacking.
In recent years, the use of computational tools known as neural networks to analyze satellite data has shown great value in the field of remote sensing. Building on that work, Kruse and colleagues developed a new system of neural networks to analyze data from the European Space Agency’s Sentinel-2 satellites and demonstrated its potential for use in monitoring waste sites on land.
To evaluate the performance of the new system, the researchers first applied it to Indonesia, where it detected 374 waste sites — more than twice the number of sites reported in public records. Broadening to all countries across Southeast Asia, the system identified a total of 966 waste sites — nearly three times the number of publicly recorded sites — that were subsequently confirmed to exist via other methods.
The researchers demonstrated that their new system can be used to monitor waste sites over time. In addition, they showed that nearly 20 percent of the waste sites they detected are found within 200 meters of a waterway, with some visibly spilling into rivers that eventually reach the ocean.
These findings, as well as future findings using this system, could help inform waste-management policies and decision-making. The data are publicly available, so stakeholders can use it to advocate for action within their communities. Looking ahead, the researchers plan to refine and expand their new waste site-monitoring system globally.

We want to give them the Show that the whole world has received in Europe, in Canada, Mexico, we don’t want to deliver something minor, or change the songs a lot. It’s the Firepower World Tour, so we promote the album but, above all, we display the relevance of Judas at this time. There are new songs and then in the time we have left we play as many songs as we can to transport them in the metal time machine. It will be fantastic. We work very hard, we have the best crew in the business, who offer the best Show, the best lights, everything. There are a lot of people working very hard to make this show the best it can be. That we guarantee, it will be a night not to forget.
Ociorama: About ‘Firepower’, tell us about the songs, the creative process… it sounds quite powerful and current, without losing the essence of Judas…
RH: We did it with a great production tandem, Andy Sneap and Tom Allom, producers with approaches from different metal generations. Tom is more into classic metal bands, like Black Sabbath, as well as engineer Mike Exeter, who has also worked with Sabbath on various productions.
The songs that Glenn -Tipton-, Richie -Faulkner- and I wrote, we lived as adventures, we had fun. We try to keep the music in the direction of the classic Priest elements, and it’s hard to do because, it defines what is classic Priest… Is Sad Wings of Destiny classic Priest? Is Painkiller a classic Priest? Is Stained Class a classic Priest? Despite those dilemmas, we had a ton of material and had a blast. You never know what you’re going to do when you sit down to compose. Sometimes a song comes out in a day, sometimes in a week or a month, and every day new ideas came out. All my metal friends, Ozzy -Osbourne- (Black Sabbath), Bruce -Dickinson- (Iron Maiden), Ronnie -James Dio- (Black Sabbath, Dio), who is no longer with us but whom I listen to frequently… Klaus -Meine- (Scorpions), David -Coverdale- (Whitesnake), and even others like Maynard -James Keenan- (Tool), Tom -Araya- (Slayer), so many, we are friends with each other, and we have different vocal styles, techniques different. We are different, so I couldn’t tell you what it is, it’s a gift. The voice comes from the body and you have to keep your body strong and healthy to give a good performance, and that’s what I try to do.
I stopped drinking and taking drugs about 30 years ago, but I still consider myself a drug addict and an alcoholic because I have to tell myself, because every day is a challenge to stay clean and sober. This important organization of the health sector announces that the Saint-Damien and Saint-Luc hospitals as well as the Center de Physiothérapie Sainte Germaine are threatened with the cessation of their activities due to fuel.
As revealed by the Haitian newspaper Le Nouvelliste: “In fact, due to the non-availability of regular fuel in the national territory for several months and due to the recent social unrest in the country, our strategic fuel reserve is available in the center of “SMART GRID” energy from Saint- The Luc Foundation, which supplies electricity to these two hospitals and the Physiotherapy Center, is almost exhausted”, reports the Organization Nos Petits Frères et Sœurs in a note.
“We launched an SOS to the main fuel suppliers to allow the rescue crucial part of our reserve to guarantee the continuity of pediatric services for more than 153 hospitalized children and for more than 47 pregnant women in the Saint-Damien maternity ward; urgent care and hospitalization of more than 70 adults, including trauma care at the Saint-Luc Hospital. In the absence of immediate funding, we will have no choice but to watch the next interruption in care services at the level of the two hospitals (Saint-Luc and Saint-Damien) and the NPFS Sainte Germaine Physiotherapy Center,” says the prosecution.
Public transport affected
“Also, Added to this situation is the availability of our employeeswhich is strongly affected by the impact of this other fuel crisis on public transport.
A situation raised this week by several hospitals, including the hospital of the State University of Haiti that works with an emergency unit. Other hospital structures, including the Saint Nicolas de Saint Marc hospital, pointed out the impact that fuel shortages could have on hospitals and, consequently, on the lives of Haitians.
The Grand-Goâve hospital center officially observed a work stoppage due to fuel shortage, announced the administration of that hospital in a note. Pending a resolution of this multidimensional crisis, the Varreux terminal, where 70% of oil products are stored, remains inaccessible.
The terminal
Meanwhile, the country’s main fuel terminal station remains under gang control. “Earlier this week, Jimmy Chérizier, with an M-4 rifle slung over his shoulder, standing amid tire barricades and burning stones, in front of the terminal, demanded the closure of this facility where 70% of Haiti’s petroleum products are stored. The research Reconstruction and validation of entire virus model with complete genome from mixed resolution cryo-EM density by Dr Dmitry Nerukh, from the Department of Mathematics in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Aston University is published in the journal Faraday Discussions.
The research was conducted using existing data of virus structures measured via cryo-Electron Microscopy (cryo-EM), and computational modelling which took almost three years despite using supercomputers in the UK and Japan.
The breakthrough will open the way for biologists to investigate biological processes which can’t currently be fully examined because the genome is missing in the virus model.
This includes finding out how a bacteriophage, which is a type of virus that infects bacteria, kills a specific disease-causing bacterium.
At the moment it is not known how this happens, but this new method of creating more accurate models will open up further research into using bacteriophage to kill specific life-threatening bacteria.
This could lead to more targeted treatment of illnesses which are currently treated by antibiotics, and therefore help to tackle the increasing threat to humans of antibiotic resistance.
Dr Nerukh said: “Up till now no one else had been able to build a native genome model of an entire virus at such detailed (atomistic) level.
“The ability to study the genome within a virus more clearly is incredibly important. Without the genome it has been impossible to know exactly how a bacteriophage infects a bacterium.
“This development will now allow help virologists answer questions which previously they couldn’t answer.
“This could lead to targeted treatments to kill bacteria which are dangerous to humans, and to reduce the global problem of antibiotic-resistant bacteria which are over time becoming more and more serious.”
The team’s approach to the modelling has many other potential applications. One of these is creating computational reconstructions to assist cryo-Electron Microscopy — a technique used to examine life-forms cooled to an extreme temperature.

Every time he transforms it is usually easy, he explained that muscle memory also helped speed up the transformation process.
“Each time I’ve played the character and put the muscle on and out the size on, and then lost it for something else and played another character, there’s muscle memory, and I used to say it sort of got easier each time.”

In Thor: Love and Thunder he had less time to transform and the goal was bigger than ever. The Ghostbuster actor had no time, during the transformation to do anything except, eat, sleep, train, and repeat. “It was train, eat, train, eat. To build that body, Chris Hemsworth had to take in 4,500 calories per day. His nutritionist revealed that they avoided chicken and broccoli because the chicken would not fulfill his protein requirements and would make eating very tough.
It sounds like a daunting task, even the actor who has done it many times confessed that it was exhausting this time and probably would not consider doing it again. “It was just exhausting,” Hemsworth said. “I don’t know, maybe I’m getting old, but things just started to hurt more.”

Crunchyroll Reveals 2023 Anime Awards Nominees. This is the seventh edition of the annual awards for the best of anime that “honors its creators, musicians and dubbing actors”. The winners of each category are chosen by the anime fans, voting directly in the official website of the Anime Awards 2023.
Voting is now open to all fans in more than 200 countries and territories, Crunchyroll says, and will be active until Wednesday, January 25 at 7:00 PM, CDMX time. Fans can vote every day for their favorite series, and this year the voting for “Anime of the Year” will also be active on Twitter, using the hashtags of the nominated series or sharing tweets with the hashtags. Full voting rules, for the site and Twitter, are on the Crunchyroll page.
The winners of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2023 will be revealed on Saturday March 4in a ceremony that will be held in Japan and that will be inaugurated by Kenichiro Yoshida, president and CEO of Sony Group, the same one that a few weeks ago presented at CES 2023 to AFEELA, the Sony Honda Mobility car. The ceremony will also be streamed online simultaneously.
