World War One Centennial Commemoration in City of Industry

Remember the 100th anniversary of the end of the War to End All Wars.

Experience a staged reading of R.C. Sherriff’s Journey’s End, a dramatic play that follows a group of British officers during a few heart-wrenching days in the trenches.

Listen to music of the era performed by The Roses of Picardy featuring vocals by Sheila Murphy-Nelson and commentary by Walter Nelson.

Enjoy refreshments and create a red paper poppy, an international symbol of remembrance for fallen soldiers.

Guests are encouraged to come in the fashions or Allied uniforms of 1918.
