PLEASE NOTE: Due to a scheduled power outage by Southern California Edison, we have had to CANCEL the June 2 First Friday dance! We're extremely disappointed about this, and are working to schedule the wonderful Split Peas for another date. :(

Come celebrate the joy of dancing with a community dance party!

Renée Camus, in conjunction with the California Dance Co-Operative, is thrilled to present a new series of First Friday Dance Parties!

Join us on the First Friday of every month for a mix of different dance styles, from group contras and English country dances, to couple turning and social dances from the Victorian, Ragtime, and 20th-century eras, such as waltz, tango, one-step, swing, polka, and schottische. By offering a variety of dance styles rather than focusing on only one, these parties hope to bring together dancers from different communities while promoting a general love of movement.

A Dance Potpourri, if you will!

Dance mistress Renée Camus will call the dances and offer introductory lessons throughout the evening.

No partner or experience needed.

From time to time the dance will take on a special theme or celebration, perhaps to tie into the month (e.g.: Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Winter Solstice), or present a special dance event, such as a speakeasy or cabaret.

Join us on Friday June 2, 2017, starting at 7:30 p.m., at the South Pasadena War Memorial Hall. 435 Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena, California.

General admission is $12; Students $8. Light refreshments will be provided.

Like all Cal Dance Co-Op dances, we will have LIVE MUSIC! We're excited to have as our band for June 2, SPLIT PEAS (Bob Altman and Patty McCollom)!
