Riverside Dickens Festival Dance Mistress Robin Bancroft not only teaches dance steps but ball etiquette as well. The classes are on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm in Smith Hall, All Saints Episcopal Church, 3847 Terracina Drive, Riverside, west of Magnolia Avenue. This first class is free, while the rest are $7 per session.

Learn fun vintage ballroom dance styles from the years 1895-1926 (throughout the evening) including One-Step with Animal Figures, Two-Step, Original Foxtrot, Hesitation Waltz, Vintage & Argentine Tango.
CGW is hosting a Workshopette called "Getting Ready for the Victorian Ball" this Sunday, 10/24 from 2p-4p in Sherman Oaks. It is a fabulous educational opportunity for those attending the November SDI ball to learn how to do their hair. There will also be a quick review on Victorian ball gowns with primary resources available. Is this something you would consider including in your Upcoming Events emails?

Walter Nelson, with assistance from his wife Sheila and Kris Davey, will present "Mr. Nelson's System of Simplified Regency Dance" - a system where a dancer of average skill can capture the authentic spirit of the dance of the English Regency and late 18th Century.
The class will teach the basic steps practiced in English Regency Country dancing. When a step requires more advanced skills, a simplified form will be taught as well.
