Join us at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills to hear Barbara Schultz, who wrote a book about Pancho Barnes titled Pancho, talk about Pancho Barnes, who was the first woman stunt pilot in Hollywood and a rival of Amelia Earhart’s. A small exhibit of Pancho Barnes artifacts will accompany her talk.

Watch volunteers present skirmishes and demonstrate the tactics used in the eastern United States during the American Civil War. See troops of the Union and Confederate Armies, all authentically uniformed and equipped. Meet the soldiers & civilians. Tour their camps and see how they lived. Living History presentations include Manual of Arms, Artillery and Field Hospital demonstrations.

Come to the Rancho and listen to Keith McDonald give a talk about Henry Huntington and his involvement in the 1910 Air Meet. Huntington moved to Los Angeles in 1901/1902 and developed the Red Trolley line. He became very interested in the 1910 Air Meet and Keith’s talk is about Huntington, the man himself, his history and his interest in the Air Meet and how he contributed.
